Local Trade Union "Seriktes"
A trade union is a public association with fixed membership, voluntarily created based on the
common labor, production, and professional interests of the citizens of the Republic of
Kazakhstan for the representation and protection of the labor and socio-economic rights and
interests of its members.

Kazakhstan, the Labor Code, the law "On Trade Unions," the Charter of "AZhK" JSC, ...
The main legal document regulating labor relations in "Alatau Zharyk Company" JSC is the
collective agreement between the administration of "Alatau Zharyk Company" JSC and the labor
collective, represented by the chairman of the trade union.
The trade union "Seriktes" has more than 3,500 members, which constitutes about 91% of the
total number of employees of "Alatau Zharyk Company" JSC.
The structure of the trade union is close to the economic entity and implements work in three
directions: regional (district of electric networks), city (district of electric networks), central
management and services. In these units, there are workshop trade union organizations headed
by chairmen of workshop committees, who work in the following sectors: organizational-
financial, cultural-mass, sports, resolution of labor disputes and complaints. Technical inspectors
for labor protection have been elected in all structural subdivisions. All these activities are
coordinated by the Trade Union Executive Committee.
The trade union provides its members with comprehensive assistance, both material and legal
(consultative) within its competence. In addition, representatives of the executive committee
participate in field commissions considering industrial accidents, are included in the conciliation
commission in case of disputed situations, participate in the work of the certification
commission, the Production Council, and the Tariff and Qualification Commission.
